A RARE GILT-BRONZE OF AN ESOTERIC DEITY

Seated in vajrasana on a separate cast lotus base placed on a throne supported by lions and set to the front with a small figure of Garuda, the multiple arms radiate around the body, the principle hands originally holding attributes, others with arrow and bow, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around the shoulders with its streamers encircling the arms, naked upper body, his face displaying a serene expression with inlaid almond-shape eyes, pierced elongated earlobes, the hair combed in a tuft, surrounded my various rows of multiple arms executed like a fan, flaming halo and a snake canopy behind rising from the lotus base, traces of gilding.
